Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
During our experience of work as a wedding photographers We heard our customers asking many similar questions...
Here We have compiled a top 10 list of the most frequently asked ones!
Q: What`s your photographic style?
Our photographic style tends to center more on the couple itself. We always draw our inspiration from watching how they behave themselves and communicate with each other while not in front of the camera. Then we try to recreate or immediately capture those moments of sincerity. Candid raw moments as they happen are our favorites, but we always mix that with some formal portraiture so you will end up with the most complete coverage of your special day.
Q: Do you work only on Long Island?
No, of course we can travel all around New York Tri-State area including all of Long Island, NJ, CT, PA and beyond. Even overseas if it’s necessary to meet with your requests. Obviously, all traveling expenses, like gas, tolls and hotel fees are included in a price tag and have an impact upon the wedding costs. We always inform our customers of all such additional expenses beforehand…
Q: Do you have insurance?
Yes, absolutely. So much insurance. Many venues will refuse to allow us (or any wedding vendor) on their property without liability insurance. And most of them aren’t going to believe I’m your cousin/aunt/sibling-with-a-camera either.
Q: Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, as your professional wedding photographer, we will retain copyright of all your wedding images, however upon request we will provide an official copyright release for you allowing unlimited personal use and printing of your wedding photos.

Q: Should I opt-in for a second shooter?
Having a second shooter can be beneficial for several reasons. First, having two photographers is helpful to capture some of those “getting ready moments” while you and your partner may be in separate locations before the ceremony. A second shooter can also help capture different angles and guarantees excellent coverage during your ceremony and any other important moments of the day. Think of it this way — if you are walking down the aisle, you may want photos of your excited smile as well as the back of your dress or garments while also capturing your partner’s reaction. I do my best to capture this all when I am working solo, but a second shooter can help make sure that all those boxes are checked. Finally, a second photographer is suggested for weddings with more than 150 guests to ensure coverage of all guests and families while the primary shooter may be working exclusively with the couple.
Q: How many photos do you deliver and what's your turnaround time?
For a wedding, we typically deliver around 600-800 images. This varies with things like package length and the number of guests.
Regarding turnaround time, our goal is to hit the 6 week mark in the Spring and Winter, but during peak season (May - October), turnaround can be up to 6 to 8 weeks due to the high volume of work.
Q: How can I make a reservation for my wedding?
You can start by calling our studio or filling out the "Contact Us" form and then we can meet each other at a place most convenient for you. If this not applicable we can arrange contact via Zoom, Skype or any video conference service. So if you decide to hire us as your wedding photographer I will give you a contract that certifies and confirms all your choices. Also it will require a pre-payment on your side. The contract is based on the standard agreement that all photographers in the industry are using.
Q: How important a location for the pictures quality and diversity?
It would be a lie if I would say that location doesn’t matter. By “location” I mean all the places that are a part of your wedding day… For example, the place where the bride gets dressed, gets her makeup on and overall prepare for the wedding on it’s morning with her bridesmaids matters. If it is a gloomy, narrow room with little to no lighting, I will not be able to capture a beautiful photo there. Luminous and spacious places are essential elements in order to have high quality pictures made. Because of that is is so important to retain such aspects as lighting…
Q: Do you provide the original unedited RAW image files?
The images in your gallery will be edited to improve lighting, contrast, sharpness, and color — all of which is a standard process for digital photographers. Therefore, I do not provide the unedited RAW images.
